Social and Motor Skills through Play

Help me give my students a table, headphones, Log Builders and other learning tools to help them explore and use their imagination. I am hoping to gain more tools to increase their fine motor, gross motor and social skills while having fun.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love to explore and use their imagination. Covid has put a damper on my kiddos social skills. Many didn't go to preschool because of our situation and because of that they are struggling with playing and socializing with others.

My Project

Kiddos will gain social, fine, and gross motor skills, as well as, academic skills through play that will carry over to their everyday lives. I have chosen magnetic pattern blocks, Log builders, and Tactile Numbers Match-up to help with academics and gross and fine motor. I also have chosen a table, utensils and cookware and play food to help with socialization and fine and gross motor skills. Finally, the headphones are for kiddos who are working on academic skills through Dream Box and ABC Mouse to help further their 21st learning skills. Kiddos need to be able to interact with others, as well as, use didn't parts of their body and mind to grow to their full potential. These items I requested are for hands on learning of every day life skills using creativity including using technology to help with their 21st century learning. To have a well rounded kiddo, you need many faucets available for a kiddo to explore, create, and enjoy.
