Social and Emotional Learning

Help me give my students social and emotional learning (SEL) tools and seating options. I will have this class next year as well and SEL has been a major focus and I want to dive deeper.

My Project

I am so lucky to be looping up with this class next year to 5th grade. We have been working hard on Social and Emotional Learning this year, especially during the pandemic. I have several students who have encountered trauma, as well as loss due to Covid. I have spent money on Big Life Journals this year, but would love to let students have their own journals they can use to strengthen their emotional stability. I plan on keeping these journals at school and incorporating them into my restorative practice instruction and teaching. I also try to foster a flexible seating environment where my students can move and chose a seat that is best for them. I have a very busy classroom and traditional seating doesn't work for everyone. I only have one of these ball seats and it is the most popular choice every day. Please help me support my class so they are able to learn, feel safe and grow. Thank you for your consideration!
