Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students here are from a low income family oriented community. Students come from local communities around the corner and share the campus with another 4 schools. The students are well behaved independent kids.
The students are from local communities who live a struggled life but know how to move forward.
Most of the kids are excited to come to school and are ready to work. They need guidance and that is what we are here for. They seek for help and we as teachers help them out. Bright and smart students who enjoy their life even though they might have struggles out of school.
My Project
Soccer is by far the most popular sport at this school. The soccer team has brand new equipment that the physical education class is not allowed to use. I want to give them the full experience of soccer. By using goals and nets we can work on different skills and allow them to enjoy the unit of soccer.
Soccer is by far the biggest fan base sport at this school.
Students will be practicing volleys, passing, juggling skills using the different size balls. The will using them to go towards goal and over the nets. They will be playing mini games and tennis soccer to help change up the way they have been doing soccer units in physical education.
