Soccer Is Life!

My Students

My students are eager learners with limited supplies. We live in a somewhat isolated community on the Big Island where the cost of living is high and income is low. We serve a wide variety of ethnicity and income levels.

Our school is a close-knit, K-8 school in a small community.

Teachers and staff work together to provide the best education possible for all students! We often do so with limited resources but with a whole lot of love and respect for our students, families, and colleagues.

My Project

Our school has a soccer goal without a net. The balls get kicked over the fence into the park where they cannot be retrieved by students. We have lost so much play time and equipment!

Soccer is a very popular sport in our community!

The students enjoy playing during their limited, socially distanced recesses. Having a net on the goal will help maximize their exercise and limit lost equipment. Having extra balls will allow other students to pass the balls to each other without impacting those that want to play the game.
