My Students
"The vision of a champion is bent over, drenched in sweat, at the point of exhaustion, when nobody else is looking." - Mia Hamm. Do you want to motivate students to achieve while having fun at the same time? Having the proper soccer equipment will inspire students at my school.
The student athletes at our school do not have the means to purchase their own soccer nets or balls.
They live in a low income neighborhood that is very supportive of sports and academics. They love to play the game of soccer and do so every chance they get. They want and desire success, both in school and on the field.
My Project
The Kindergarten through 6th grade students will use the equipment during physical education class to teach specific soccer skills. In addition, at the end of the school year, the staff plays the 6th grade in a very competitive game. The equipment is very motivational to our students. Close to 1,000 students will have access to this equipment. My students need a pair of soccer nets, 10 soccer balls, practice pinnies, and portable soccer goal pop-up nets.
