This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a dedicated elementary school teacher in a Title 1 school, I’ve seen firsthand how movement and teamwork can transform a child’s day. My students come to school with endless energy, big emotions, and a deep need for connection. Physical education is not just a class but it’s a safe space where they learn collaboration, perseverance, and confidence.

That’s why I’m reaching out to request support in funding soccer equipment for our school.

We are currently lacking the most basic materials such as age appropriate soccer balls, cones for drills, and pop up goals. With this equipment, I’ll be able to lead structured PE lessons that engage all learners and teach important life skills through play.

For many of my students, soccer is a familiar and beloved sport they play at recess with makeshift balls and no clear boundaries. With your help, I can turn that love into meaningful lessons in sportsmanship, physical health, and social emotional development.
