This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In the heart of an inner-city, lies a public school that services a group of determined and resilient young minds. These disadvantaged children, eager to overcome the challenges life has thrown their way, have found solace, hope, and a sense of belonging in a high school soccer team. As they prepare for district play, they face the hurdles of limited resources and underfunding, hindering their ability to access proper soccer equipment essential for their growth and success on the field. However, with the launch of the "Soccer Goals" campaign, this community aims to rally support, empowering these young athletes to pursue their dreams and unlock their full potential on the soccer field.

The high school soccer team is not just a team; it is a family, and at its helm is a first-year coach brimming with passion and dedication.

I understand the transformative power of sports and see the potential within each player. My commitment to the team goes beyond just teaching soccer skills; they serve as a mentor, offering guidance and support both on and off the field. However, we face the challenge of managing the team with limited resources, making it difficult to provide the students with the necessary equipment and training tools to reach their full potential.

The "Soccer Goals" campaign serves as a beacon of hope, offering these young athletes the chance to embrace their dreams and reach for the stars. By providing them with proper soccer equipment and resources, we can bridge the gap between disadvantage and opportunity, empowering these students to realize their true potential both on the field and in life.
