Soccer Goals for Soccer Club

My students need these goals as we currently have no soccer goals. We have a lot of students who enjoy playing soccer (soccer club), but are currently using cones as the goals.

My Students

My students are very special to me because the majority of them are the students who "did not fit" into the traditional classroom . They have not been taught the fundamentals of physical education. My students are very successful in Math Leagues, FLL LEGO clubs, Chess club, and FTC Robotics. My school is a Platinum Stem School in Utah and was recently awarded the Charter School of the Year in Utah. As a Health/Physical Education teacher a lot of my students are more interested in how the body works instead of playing a game. I enjoy and support this greatly, but also enjoy the challenge of teaching my students the fundamentals, such as catching and throwing a ball. All of the students have an iPad, so I use the video portion to review the kinesthetics.

My Project

We have a lot of students who enjoy playing soccer and we also have a soccer club, however we are playing the game with cones as the goals. Students become frustrated thinking a shot should be a goal and it comes back to coaching decision if the shot should count. By having the goals the students will be able to see that their shot was a goal. These goals will be used often in the physical education class as well as the after school soccer club program. I greatly appreciate your kindness and look forward to working with my wonderful students.
