My Students
My students love playing soccer during their Physical Education course. With my classes growing, I am in need of more soccer goals to place on our large field in order to have several games playing at one time.
My students are 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.
If you ask them what their favorite sport to play during class, they would all say soccer. What I love about this sport is that it makes them play as a team, they get their exercise in, and it is just fun. They come up with so many tricks to get the ball in the goals. I just think they are brilliant.
My Project
The soccer goals for my students will allow for more teams to be able to be put together and play at one time instead of having to wait for a turn. Time is limited in class. Therefore, the more students that I can have participating in the practices and games, will limit the days that I have to keep adding for the lesson so all students could have their opportunity to be involved.
Soccer teaches many lessons on and off the field.
For our soccer unit, the kids actually learn how to play the real game of soccer. They learn about how to kick and pass the ball, focus, and make other moves on the field. Most importantly, they learn team work.
