My Project
Physical Education is important to all our students! When they are able to play, laugh and have fun, they learn better in the classroom. Physical activity and exercise helps build brain cells!
Our school is a K-5 elementary school!
Students have different skills levels throughout our building. As a PE Department, we have no annual budget to purchase equipment for the different grade levels and skill levels we need each year for our curriculum. All students should have the opportunity to play and experience a wide variety of games and activities, build relationships with their peers and create a sense of community while MOVING and having FUN!
As a free and reduced lunch school, many of our students don't have the opportunity to participate in activities outside of the traditional school day. Our PE program provides students with those opportunities to play and have fun with activities and games they might not normally be involved in outside of school.
In our Physical Education Classroom, we are in need of new Pop-Up Soccer Goals for our students. The goals are easy to set up for our students and big enough to use for many different activities, but also small enough we can quickly put them away. The Pop-Up Goals are light weight. Our students can help carry them and they sturdy enough to last a long time. Our students, from Kindergarten to 5th grade, love to use the goals for kicking targets, soccer games and as throwing targets as well.
More than half of students from low‑income households
