Help me give my students the tools they need to fully participate in the Orton Gillingham program. Each item in my cart is used to provide a rich, multisensory approach to help my students with reading.

My Students
I am a special needs teacher and work with many students in grades 2-5 who are included in the general education classroom. My students have varying disabilities; I work with students with autism, learning disabilities, and more! My students love to learn, but they sometimes just need a different approach to understand concepts and retain important skills taught in class. They often need hands-on materials to make their learning engaging and meaningful and to see tangible representations of what they are learning!
My Project
This summer, I had the opportunity to be trained in the Orton Gillingham methodology of teaching, one that provides a rich, multi-sensory approach to teaching students with learning disabilities new ways to read. This training was hands down the best I have ever received, and I am excited to get to work bringing this curriculum to life with my special education students.
Research has shown that students with dyslexia benefit from a multi-sensory approach to reading, one that utilizes all modalities of learning, visual, auditory, and kinesthetic.
Orton Gillingham provides just that for my students. Due to the current climate, I need help purchasing supplies so that each of my students are able to have their own Orton Gillingham materials.
