We are a small title 1 charter school in the heart of Jacksonville, Florida, and over the last few years our school has really been working hard, burning the midnight oil, to really maximize and rise up from the ashes of Covid. This year our school has converted an old classroom into a brand-new science lab for our amazing students. This project will give our new lab a fresh start including lab aprons and science equipment as well as STEM project items which will allow for all students in Kindergarten through Fifth grade to participate in engaging science activities and lab experiments. For 5th grade specifically, this project will help improve end of year science test scores by diving deep, headfirst and hands-on into science standards beyond just classroom lessons.
