My Project

I am requesting a variety of materials for my new special education classroom. I will be servicing students in kindergarten, first and second grades. Materials such as flexible seating, incentives, visual aids and supplies will all assist in supporting the learning of these wonderfully capable students.

Transitioning from teaching general education to special education requires methodical planning with purpose.

I will utilize flexible seating for students to be in their chosen space to learn. Items such as printer ink and letters & number posters will provide appropriate and easy access visual aids for students to use during work time. Additionally, storage bins/shelving will allow me to organize tiered materials and student items to ensure easy and quick access. The requested lava lamp will provide a warm and welcoming space, as well as contributing to a calming and peaceful environment.
