Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is located within the inner city. We serve over 800 students with over 90% receiving free or reduced-rate lunch. We have a mixture of ethnic backgrounds. My students are gifted and talented and are eager to explore the world around them using various techniques and real-world tools.

My students love learning and sharing their knowledge with listening ears!

I want to offer more authentic learning opportunities. As they develop their ideas of what they want to be in the future, I want them to have experiences today that offer them a plethora of options. Students should be encouraged to aspire to be anything they want regardless of economic status or limited by their lack of opportunities.

My Project

My students are in need of safety goggles for our hands-on lessons. Students know that being safe is a priority. We've discussed the importance of their eyes and now we're looking for tools to help us. Your generosity will help us do investigations that require an additional level of protection.

We also requested magnetic marbles.

Kids find magnetism exciting. This item will also us to explore further and have a blast doing so.

We're keeping this project request simple and we hope you will help keep the fire for learning science lit, as we're able to do more with this contribution.
