My Students
Who was our first president? Why are there 13 stripes on our flag? These are questions to which my students need answers. They need to be aware of places and cultures around the world.
The scholars in my class all have special needs.
Everyday of their life is a struggle, not only in the classroom but at home. I try to create an environment where my students feel safe, comfortable, and motivated to learn. My scholars can and will achieve no matter the circumstances.
My Project
With these social studies resource boxes, my students will be able to be exposed to the current world around them. They will be able to learn about the history of this amazing country we live in. My scholars will become exposed to all the cultures around the world. Supplies for social studies are few and far between because the focus in schools today is in reading, writing, and math. I can teach my students all of these skills while at the same time teaching them all about social studies.
These materials will make learning social studies in my classroom a possibility.
It wouldn't just be from reading books. They will be able to see and learn through a variety of different ways. I want to thank you for all you're about to do and all that it will continue to do for my scholars!
