My Project
I teach at a hybrid, online/in-person high school where students primarily work online, but we try to create opportunities for them to come together at drop-in sites. I have been trying to start a drone program for Career Development to help students get licensed to fly drones for commercial use. Since the COVID-19 Pandemic, it has been harder to get students to engage. I teach career development classes where I encounter many students that could benefit from the connection with their fellow students as well as another path to a future career. I want to show them how flying drones can help them in their professional lives beyond high school.
