My class is majority African American students from low income single parent homes. Most of my students have several siblings which cuts into the ability of parents supplying all their needs. Some of my students come in below grade level while others are above grade level. I have several ADHD children in my class which means they have a problem with staying focused.
I hope this project will give my students a variety of materials to work with that will be useful for learning, but also fun.
We have different groupings for Math and this will allow my students to have different centers to work on.
Through the purchase of these materials this project would give us a resource that could help my class grow in Math. This is an area my students are weak in and it would be great to have a variety of activities to reach the different levels of students in my class. Please consider helping us. Thanks.
My Project
My students are showing below grade level work in Math. I hope my project will allow my students to work together to improve their scores. We are often required to work in centers or groups to complete math lessons. Having these games and hands on manipulatives, my students can be actively working together to learn the skills in math necessary to be successful.
This project will allow me to work with weaker students one on one while the other students can work independently.
Having a variety of options to work with will make learning fun and enjoyable. Please consider helping me with my project. Thank you so much.
