My Project
As we continue to build our outdoor classroom, we need
a whiteboard for presenting information.
We also need organizers for each outdoor table to ensure our students are ready for instruction with all needed materials. This will reduce the number of students needing to reenter the building during instruction. We realized we needed a way to present information and get organized, as we didn’t want students leaving the outdoor classroom to retrieve learning tools.
We received donations of spools from the local power company, which we are using for tables. We will work with our Industrial tech class to spruce them up.
This project was truly student-led as they were given the opportunity to develop the plans for the classroom. They researched native plants, ground cover, and aesthetics prior to presenting their ideas.
Landscaping will be our final step! We will be removing sod, and adding ground cover, and plants.
