My students need engaging materials to experience the math they're learning. With these white boards in the classroom, students will always have fun tools to work with.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students embody the vibrant energy of their neighborhood and the hardworking attitude of the city in which they live. They are proud to call themselves New Yorkers. But regardless of their various backgrounds, they come to school ready to learn and to make lasting relationships with fellow students and teachers.
In my class, math can be a challenge, but they expect that.
Perseverance is a part of growing. One of the mottos in our classroom is to push ourselves to become untouchable.
My Project
Having these whiteboards will allow my students to engage in the math they're learning with fewer fears of making mistakes. They don't have to put the pencil to paper right away. They can make as many attempts as they need until they feel comfortable with a solution method, an accurate graph, or a proper equation.
These whiteboards will also allow them to communicate easily with other students and the whole class.
When we're reviewing content or playing games, they can share their answers by holding up their whiteboards. Also, it's a great way for me to check their learning.
And who doesn't like writing on a white board with fun colors? I know my students will love using them as often as possible.
