My students need a document camera as a tool to help me improve my students' learning experience.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Russell's classroom raised $400

My Students
My fifth grade students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. I teach in a low-income/high poverty school district.
Many of my students are being raised in a single parent household and receive free lunch based on their socioeconomic status.
Many of my students speak other languages than English that also create learning barriers within the classroom. I am striving to provide the most meaningful learning experiences to promote optimal learning within my classroom this year.
My Project
A document camera would help connect all my students by allowing everyone to see the modeled material. With 25 students in a class, sometimes it is difficult to capture everyone's attention and ensure they are following along.
A document camera would enrich the learning within my classroom.
A document camera will allow me to present demonstrations, model sample problems, give directions, and even read text from a book in a visually appealing way that will engage and motivate all my students. It would also allow those students who are struggling to see the various demonstrations of sample texts, worksheets or modeled examples to help close their learning gaps.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
