My Project
How young people think and feel about their body and the way they look can affect their mental health in both a positive and negative way. Developing a positive body image station where students have the availability to practice personal hygiene skills through learning how to do their hair using the babyliss pro flat iron, as well as the comb and brush that I will have available, skin hygiene using the lotion I’ll make available, and grooming with any tools they see fit, would increase body positivity.
Also by having my students have cleaning supplies readily available in our classroom to help create a safe clean space where they can work each day will support them in ways unimaginable.
Most times students love being in a space where it is clean and feels safe and I want to continue to allow my classroom to be that space.
