Beach Volleyball continues to grow around the country and is now in our local high schools as a sanctioned high school sport. Our middle schools are gradually adding before/after school sports programs for kids in 7th-8th grade. In other neighboring counties, middle schoolers (6th-8th) have the opportunity to play select organized sports after school. My school is kindergarten through 6th grade.
Adding beach volleyball courts has been a goal of mine since I took this position 4 years ago.
We have a sandy area that was once used for swings and monkey bars. That equipment has been removed and a new playground built in a different area. I have the majority of the sand, nets, and gradually getting balls; I just need a net system!
We are starting monthly clubs within the school day and I am offering beach volleyball. I would also like to provide after school instruction for those interested in learning more about the sport.
I would love to establish a feeder program for the local middle, high school, and club teams in the area. I'm so close to making this dream of having beach courts come true! Your donations are greatly appreciated.
