My Students
Our students come from a majority of low-income families. We are early education classrooms that consist of Head Start students, 4 year old kindergartners and 3 and 4 year olds with special needs.
Our students come to school eager to start their educational journey and we, their teachers, can't wait to watch their little minds grow and soak up all the knowledge they can!
We are the first stepping stones to their days in elementary school. We strive to build a good foundation and a love for learning for the years to come.
My Project
Our students need a new place to snuggle up with their favorite books. Currently, our reading area and our calm-down area are in the same place, and they need to be separated. This reading nook has shelves to store our books and mats to sit or lay on while they read. We've also added some activities that will help our preschoolers practice naming and writing the letters of the alphabet.
Who wouldn't love a warm cozy place to read their favorite books again and again?
This space already has a home in our classroom we just need help making this a reality.
