In my general education kindergarten classroom, I have 21 boys and girls. There is a percentage of English language learners.
Each day, we work on foundational literacy, science, social studies and math skills.
We have weekly activities, such as computers, art, physical education and dance, where my students work with other teachers for a complete educational experience.
Many of my students have two working parents, so they stay in our after school program to have a late afternoon meal and get homework help.
My Project
I am looking to gain a classroom rug for my students that has enough room for every student. We spend a lot of time together as a group; reading stories, learning literacy, math, and science skills, as well as engaging in discussions and interactive experiences. I want my classroom to have a universal gathering spot, where every student has a place and is comfortable and excited to learn. We have a large class of 21 students and this rug will give us a gathering spot that includes everyone, so we can come together to read, learn, and build our community!
