I encourage my students to do their best! I like for my students to start our day with song and movement! My goal is for everyone to feel special and important. We treat each other with respect and love. We don't refer to ourselves as classmates. We call ourselves a classroom family!
I encourage my students to be the best they can be.
I set very high expectations for them. I push them to shoot for the stars. I want each of my students to work hard. I want them to be excited every time they learn something new! My goal as a kindergarten teacher is to keep new centers made for them to work on so they will want to explore new concepts. As we move forward in our school year, I will encourage them to set high goals for themselves. Our goals are put in place so each child can feel inspired to do their very best at all times.
My Project
My students need a rug to sit on where they can relax during whole group activities. Young children need to move around to release energy. They need to be able to go from table activities to carpet activities. A rug would give them a chance to transition from one activity to another with comfort. A rug would also give them an area they could go to and listen to stories, complete activities, or even partner read to each other. A brightly colored rug would also add character to our classroom to draw my students in! Children need routine. A rug centered in the middle of our class would provide them with routine activities and help them stay engaged!
