My students love circle time, but not everyone has a spot on the rug. Some students have to share spots, getting squished, which causes problems with paying attention/behavior. I'm hoping to get a big enough rug that everyone has their own spot and can listen to the story/lesson without distraction.
My school is the melting pot of Nashville.
We are a Title One school, which means that we have 50% or more of Our learners below socio-economic standards. We also have a high English Language Learner population as well as high special needs population.
My Project
When this rug is introduced to my classroom the students will get to enjoy the lessons and books without a distraction. Each student will be assigned his/her own spot without having to squish together with another student. I believe this rug will promote the learning in my classroom! The learners will be able to focus and participate with ease!
The classroom rug will promote student learning by slim sting any distraction and behaviors caused by too tiny if a size for all my learners.
It will enable learners to focus on the whole group lessons, morning meetings and shared reading!
