Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At PES, we strive to make learning engaging and hands-on. We are requesting a snowcone machine to enhance our students' educational experiences and provide opportunities for growth both academically and socially. This project will allow us to incorporate the snowcone machine into science, math, and social activities, creating fun and interactive learning opportunities.
The snowcone machine will offer a unique way to teach students about scientific concepts like freezing and melting, as well as math skills such as measurements and proportions.
By involving students in the process of making and serving snowcones, they will practice teamwork, responsibility, and problem-solving. The machine will also be used as a reward system, encouraging positive behavior and academic achievement, which will motivate students to stay engaged and focused.
Our goals for this project are to create a hands-on learning environment that fosters creativity, teamwork, and motivation. We want to use the snowcone machine in classrooms and at school events to reinforce academic concepts, while also providing a fun and rewarding experience for students. We aim to build a sense of community, where students work together to prepare and share snowcones, creating lasting memories and a positive school culture.
What makes our students special is their enthusiasm, curiosity, and resilience. They come from diverse backgrounds, and despite facing challenges, they continually strive to learn and grow. The snowcone machine will help support their learning by making education more exciting and rewarding, allowing them to connect classroom concepts with real-world experiences.
