My Students

I am blessed to teach 50 highly motivated, eager learners. They are like sponges and thrive on soaking up new information every opportunity they get. Many of them are not exposed to the technology of the 21st century, and this serves as a disadvantage since almost every job requires knowledge in using the technological advances of today. They enjoy learning and sharing, and it is my role as the educator to provide them with educational experiences which will prepare them for the real world.

My Project

My class can use a document camera to enhance our learning. This is a quick, effective way for students to visually interact with texts, pictures, and other students' work within a whole group setting. Many children learn better by "seeing" the content and examples as opposed to just hearing about them. This will be great for writing as we can quickly display student work samples to revise and edit as a class.

We also need another iPad to use within our small reading groups.

This will be used for collaborative activities including group read alouds, group research, and projects to be shared with the class.
