Help me give my students a chance to have a hands-on experience with circuits that they can explore and manipulate themselves.

My Students
My middle school students are interested in technology just as all teenagers are. My school is a rural PreK-8th grade school where most students never leave their hometown. I am the only middle school science teacher and I love to have the students do hands-on activities. I feel that students learn best by “doing” science not just sitting and listening. Many of their parents don’t make enough money to send in supplies when needed for our hands-on activities
My Project
Students will be able to manipulate circuits to learn about sound, light, and alternative energy in a hands-on way. These will be used to enhance my students’ STEM experience and will allow them to go to high school with more than a basic understanding of the concepts of circuits. These components combine to create working circuit boards just like the ones found inside televisions, radios, and other electronic devices. These projects are arranged in order of complexity, which allow students to build on their skills as they complete different lessons. My students will get the hands-on experience they desire.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
