Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have so many new, wonderful students this year in my classroom. I am very excited to teach them new concepts and to push them to reach their potential. Unfortunately, sometimes they do not have enough food at home, so they come to school hungry and without a snack.

I would love to be able to provide them with a treat or snack when they have not eaten at home and have missed the opportunity to get the free breakfast because they arrive late to school.

I would also love to give them a special reward on Friday after working so hard in small groups in my classroom. These students sometimes do not have families that are able to provide them with the rewards at home. This would help them feel taken care of while they are at school.
