My students need snacks and treats to help re-energize and concentrate on their learning.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Soriano's classroom raised $557

My Students
The school is situated in a rural area on the western most part of O'ahu, Hawaii. We serve a high-poverty population of students who lack reliable transportation and for most of them, it is difficult to get the basic school supplies that are needed to learn.
Our Wai'anae children face daily challenges and desperately need our support and care.
Please join me in supporting our students that need a leg up in society. I believe education is a priority and it should not be hindered for those that come from low socio-economic statuses.
My Project
Many of my students come to school without having eaten anything and it greatly affects them throughout their school day. Often times they walk to school and/or have to care for their younger siblings and so they miss the school breakfast serving.
These students need energy-boosting snacks, pretzels, trail mix, chips, and granola bars to help satisfy their hunger and regain their energy to refocus and concentrate on their learning.
Having extra snacks in the classroom will help to ensure that everyone has a satisfied tummy, so they are focused and ready to learn. It is very difficult to concentrate when all you can think about is your empty stomach and food. Providing students with snacks can make a real difference in their learning and concentration. Let's support our Wai'anae keiki (children) by providing them with snacks so they are ready to learn.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
