Snacks to Help Keep Students Stay Engaged During Remote Learning!

Help me give my students a treat to look forward to at home! I want to show them how much I care, and send them pick me uppers to help them succeed during remote learning.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a low income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with many challenges as middle school students, but they love to learn and they love to learn, computer science and engaging activities.

Each year I get an amazing group of students to teach and, mold in my technology classroom.

This year, has been extremely challenging on students during remote learning. I send treats to my students, but want to reach more of my students for being so diligent in the work they do on a daily basis. Please help me, help my students get resources needed for my students so that I can send them treats during this time. I think it will help with their Social Emotional Learning and boost their mood during this time.

My Project

I work at a Title 1 School and Remote Learning has been hard for a lot of our students. That being said hunger distracts my students from learning sometimes, but having snacks to help curve that hunger helps them focus and do better in class and boost morale when they receive a treat in the mail or on their doorstep.

I am asking for a variety of snacks to send to my students or drop off on their doorstep to help boost morale and to let them know that we are all in this together.

However, during this time it makes it hard for us to connect even on Zoom, and some of them do so well, they need a little reward for encouragement. They are an awesome group of students, and up to this point, I have been buying items from Amazon and shipping to them, but it has become costly.
