My Project
Children get hungry throughout the day and with the help of a snack, they are able to focus and learn better. Snacks influence academic achievement, improve their performance, and influence engagement during learning time. Some kids will come through and ask for snacks to eat if they know they don't have extra at home. This student centered project will allow our kids to come and receive snacks, These snacks will be placed in our care closet.
A quick snack break can rejuvenate students and give them more energy for learning.
Eating snacks during instructional time can also be helpful in building social skills and a sense of community. Research shows that improved nutrition in schools leads to increased focus and attention, improved grades, and better classroom behavior. Having a snack will not only allow the kids to get a break from their work and learning, but a break to rejuvenate to get ready for the next thing. We also need labels to label our school supplies.
