Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Did you eat breakfast? Did you eat lunch? Would you like a snack? Those are my typical questions during instruction time. I want to make sure that students have at least a snack in their stomach so they can concentrate. The responses vary from being shy to having a big smile, and saying "yes, I would like one please". For those who lack the courage to say yes at first, they immediately change their mind. As they eat their snack, they are more willing to participate, ask questions, and pay attention. It is true; being hungry and no being able to concentrate affects students' learning. I want my students to learn, and in addition to feel cared for in our classroom. Please help me provide my students with snacks, so they can focus and feel cared for in our learning community.
I am asking for your support because I think my students are the best, and I believe that they need to be supported with basic needs to be successful.
