This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our new school calendar this year has allowed us to have students four days a week instead of the normal five, resulting in an extended school day. At middle school, our students are growing and starting to become more active, resulting in an increase in hunger. Many times, I have students coming and asking me for snacks to get them through their day and rigorous practices after school.
Being able to provide healthy snacks to my students will show them that I not only care about their academic needs but also their basic needs.
Please help me show my students some love by affording me the opportunity to provide them with whatever snacks they need in order to satisfy their hunger. I love being able to offer them that helping hand and showing them that someone does care about their well-being.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
