Help me give my students snacks to give them energy at before school tutoring or after testing. A kindergarten day can be long, so a snack can help, especially for those struggling with food insecurity at home.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Kindergarten is full of fun and growth and first experiences. They learn so much academically, socially and emotionally in a year. We create a little family where we help each other do the very best we can. For most of my students this is their first experience in a school setting and in a structured social environment. A snack during the day can help provide a healthy balance of energy between meals and also creates a social atmosphere for students to talk with their peers. Snack breaks are the best!
