This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I wanted to share a situation that has touched my heart deeply. I never imagined that some of our students would come to me asking for snacks. I always assumed they were getting enough to eat with breakfast and lunch provided at school.
However, I've come to realize that students sometimes crave a snack as a special treat, a reward, or simply because they are hungry.
Recently, a student approached me after school, requesting a snack. It broke my heart to see the disappointment in her eyes when I had to admit that I didn't have any snacks to offer.
In response to this need, I have created a DonorsChoose project with the hope that generous donors like yourself could help me provide students with the snacks they occasionally require. Your support would mean the world to me and would make a significant difference in the lives of our students.
