My Project

My students are definitely movers and shakers. They rarely stay in one place. It is very evident that their tummy controls their energy and interest level. I can always tell who had a nutritious breakfast and who had a less nutritious breakfast. Any students that did not had time for breakfast really struggle to focus. When they enter the classroom, they bring their morning snack if they have one. Most of the time leading up to snack time is our reading time. This takes a lot of focus and energy for my little learners. They watch the timer closely waiting for snack time to arrive.

My students come to school hungry for knowledge, but they can be distracted by their rumbling tummies as they wait for lunch.
