This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My bilingual kindergarten students are creative, inquisitive, and love to learn! My students live in an urban, low income area. Their families are doing everything they can to provide them with the necessities of life during these difficult times, to which we can all relate.
My students need snacks to keep them energized and help them and focused on their learning.
It is a long day for my five and six-year-old students, and they are hungry in the afternoon. Providing my students with snacks will help them to concentrate on learning instead of their grumbling tummies.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
