My students truly live for snack time. They watch the clock and always let me know when we should eat our snacks. The only problem is, not every child has a snack. I suggest they get the school breakfast and save it for snack time, but really it's just not the same as a bag of chips or cookies.
Imagine having snacks in the classroom for all the children.
I would be able to give a couple of cookies to some, or chips to others. But most importantly, everyone will indulge in a snack.
My students will benefit from these snacks. First, it will fill a little bit of hunger and generate energy to continue working throughout the day. Secondly, everyone gets a snack, no one is left out because their family can not afford to send in a snack every day.
