Help me give my students a snack such as Doritos or Rice Krispies, as they take part in an after-school reading program, aimed at improving reading skills and instilling a love of reading.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at a school in Hialeah, Florida and my school receives Title I funding because over 90% of our students are on free or reduced lunch and our community is made up of low-income families; however, don't feel sorry for me or my students because although our pockets may not be full, our hearts certainly are. We are a loving family, but every family needs a little help sometimes.
Our students are the best; they are kind, humble and dedicated to the betterment of the school and each other.
To that end, many of them take part in clubs and organizations outside of the regular, school day. One such organization is called "Teen Trendsetters" that will serve to pair up students in an attempt to improve literacy skills while developing an appreciation and love of reading at the same time.
My Project
This after-school, reading program aims at aiding students to improve their reading fluency and comprehension; students will meet on a weekly basis and need that extra snack to keep them going when meeting as mentors/meetees. Students are paired up by ability and once they come together, the bond that is created during these reading sessions is remarkable.
Witnessing how students grow and expand, not only academically, but also socially is a great reward for me, as an educator.
You can be part of this success with your contribution. I thank you ahead of time for your generous donation. At a time when after-school programs are being eliminated, your contribution is greatly appreciated.
