Our students work very hard to increase their social skills and improve their behavior. Our students come to us for help with their emotion and behavior issues and we provide for them a very supportive environment in which we can help them develop coping strategies for their challenges.
Our school is committed to Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports - PBIS- and every moment is a teaching moment when it comes to helping students learn about social cues and appropriate responses.
We reward our students' efforts with extra attention, words of praise and encouragement and more! The Frito-Lay chips, Keebler Crackers, Blow Pops, Oreo, and more delicious treats will bring huge smiles to so many faces - I have seen it! The snacks will travel on a rolling cart through the school and students will be invited to pick a snack to brighten their day! Creating as many positive experiences as possible for our students is a great way to boost morale and only adds to the already positive atmosphere in our school!
