My Project

Token economies are beneficial in a classroom. Listed below are some of the benefits of using a classroom token economy:

Classroom token economies reinforce positive behavior, target specific behavior, target behavior change, and promotes fair exchanges (addition, subtraction, counting money, economics.

1. Students earn classroom tokens when positive behaviors are displayed.

2. Then, students can exchange tokens in the classroom store since they display the targeted specific behaviors.

3. If a student does not display the appropriate behaviors, they will not be able to purchase high-valued items.

The classroom store offers various items priced from a dollar to twenty-five dollars. This project was created to help stock the shelves of the classroom store. Students will have the opportunity to earn tokens to purchase materials listed in this project. Students tend to want higher valued items, so they try to display appropriate behaviors to earn tokens. I also offer rewards that are not food so they have a variety to choose from.
