Help me give my students some of their favorite snacks to help them remember all the yummy snacks they received in our classroom. I want them to remember how much I care for them during these trying times.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I never imagined that Friday, March 13th, would be the last day I would ever see my students for their first year of schooling. It broke my heart as I said our final "good-bye". Some replied, "See you tomorrow teacher" (in their little preschool voice). As I tried to gather my thoughts and search for materials that they would need for the next two weeks, or so I thought we were coming back to normalcy after that. It became apparent that not all of my students had the necessary tools and materials to access what I was going to prepare for them.
I knew that I had to find a way to get some of their favorite snacks to them, to continue their brain power..
We are currently communicating through Class Dojo and holding Zoom meetings twice a week. I am doing Read Alouds with a couple of their favorite books that I was able to grab from my classroom, we sing songs that we would normally sing during Circle Time, and talk about whatever comes to their little minds.
My Project
For this project, I would like to end the school year that was suddenly closed for all of my students, without warning and as a shock, by giving them some of their favorite snacks. Snack time was the best part of our day! My students would choose their own snacks and the smiles on their faces would light up a room.
With these snacks, I want them to remember the happy times they spent in my classroom.
I want to bring smiles to their faces and make their tummies happy once again. I know that these snacks will bring they joy and excitement as they open their bag of yummy treats.
