My Project
TK students are still getting the hang of eating on a more strict schedule. Their little bellies need snacks more often to stay full and focused. Our kids eat lunch early during the day, at 11 am, making it a very long stretch until they get home after 3. We provide a snack in the afternoon to hold them over so that they can receive instruction.
Hungry kids don't learn!
TK has math in the afternoon providing important instruction and exploration that we hoe thy will internalize. Success looks different for everyone, but we know hungry kids can't retain information when they're focused on trying to figure out their next meal.
