My Project
Some snacks are a special treat for kids. Goldfish Crackers are always a hit! They are tasty and will help make the wait for lunch a little easier when you are hungry, but it's not time for lunch just yet. Thinking back to my own childhood, animal crackers were also a lot of fun. They were just sweet enough to make them a treat, but not like eating regular cookies, either. It was also fun to look through them and (try to) match the shapes to the animals they looked like.
It's hard to think when you are hungry.
Our goal is to reduce stress during testing, allowing our learners to focus on showing what they know. Having snacks available can help.
Not only does testing make our learners hungry, the lunch schedule may be different. We typically have a late lunch, so they are used to having a snack in the morning. Testing schedules could also cause some learners to have lunch earlier than usual, making them hungry in the afternoon. On a typical day, most learners bring a snack. If a learner forgets their snack during testing, they may be worried about having a snack and be more focused on their snack than their tests. Having these snacks available for our learners will alleviate some of that stress and fill their bellies no matter what the schedule looks like for the day.
