This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students often come to school early and stay late for their various extracurricular activities. From after school tutoring, volleyball and basketball practice, robotics, and even our recycling club.

We eat lunch early in the day and I would like to provide a snack cupboard for kids to make sure they are not hungry.

Having snacks available has many benefits such as:

1.

2. **Reduced Hunger**: For some students, school snacks may be their only reliable source of nutrition during the day, preventing hunger-related distractions and discomfort.

4. **Equity and Inclusion**: Ensuring all students have access to snacks can reduce disparities among students from different socioeconomic backgrounds, promoting a more inclusive school environment.

5. **Increased Attendance and Participation**: Well-nourished students are more likely to attend school regularly and participate actively in class and extracurricular activities.
