Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A library's work is never done! Cleaning, shelving, circulation, inventory, organization, and so on. I have a small group of lovely students each year (different kiddos of course) who become library helpers. They come in before school or at lunch and just offer to help out of the kindness of their hearts.
When students help out in the library, I want to reward them for being so helpful and kind!
Positive reinforcement has been linked to continued positive behavior. Plus, I want to show my appreciation. I also like to have snacks available if a student says they are hungry or that they missed a meal. I do buy snacks but it would help to have some of that cost supplemented. Thank you for helping me to thank them!
