This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a special education teacher at a Title 1 high school and I need your help to provide snack choices to my students. I have a group of unique students with disabilities and they sometimes need an extra boost of energy to make it through their learning day. I have students that require peanut/nut-free snacks that are wholesome to keep them energized, focused, and positive and my students work best when they feel safe and cared for.
When I provide healthy, low carb snacks at school, my students will have one less thing to worry about throughout the learning day.
My students also work very hard throughout the school year and as students with learning disabilities, it can require even more effort from my students to be successful in the classroom. They work very hard and want to do well in school. They are especially motivated by positive reinforcement, points, and prizes. Some of these items are sweet treats to reward my students for their hard work throughout the entire school year.
