This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students at our school are WILD about learning, but access to specific materials to aid in the learning process is scarce. The school is located in a high poverty, needy area in New York City. Because of such poverty and need, the majority of the students receive free or reduced lunch, categorizing the school as Title I. Please help our students work towards their learning goals by providing anything you can. Your generous donations will help enhance student achievement in this school. Many thanks in advance.
My Project
My students would greatly benefit from snacks throughout the day to ensure that they are engaged in and committed to the learning process. Because the school is categorized as Title 1, food is often scarce for our hungry learners. If provided with this donation, us teachers can ensure that our students are fed and nourished before they leave for the day.
If the basic needs of young children, such as hunger, are not met, then active learning and participation is not likely to occur.
I am asking for your help. Please help me to help my students by providing us with the necessary tools to motivate our learners in growing both academically and socially.
